Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Site Engineer (Civil Works – Telecom) Intern to join our project delivery team in Côte d’Ivoire.

The successful candidate will support the planning, coordination, supervision, and delivery of telecom infrastructure projects, including FTTH deployments, civil works, and site installations. Working under the guidance of experienced project engineers, the intern will gain practical experience in site management, quality assurance, construction supervision, and customer acceptance processes.

Key Responsibilities


Key Responsibilities

Site Coordination & Supervision

  • Coordinate and monitor daily site activities to ensure timely project execution.
  • Supervise subcontractors and verify that work is carried out according to approved designs, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Monitor construction progress and report any delays or issues.

Quality Assurance

  • Inspect and monitor the quality of civil works, telecom towers, equipment shelters, auxiliary systems, and telecom equipment installations.
  • Ensure compliance with Hammer quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Identify defects and coordinate corrective actions.

Site Acceptance & Documentation

  • Coordinate site inspections and acceptance activities with customers and subcontractors.
  • Review, organize, and validate site completion documentation.
  • Submit completed project documentation to the project documentation team.

Process Improvement

  • Assist in improving site construction procedures and best practices.
  • Support the training and guidance of subcontractor teams on standard installation processes.
  • Assist the Project Manager with day-to-day site management activities.

Health, Safety & Environment

  • Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies.
  • Promote safe working practices and ensure the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Report safety incidents, risks, and non-conformities promptly.

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of FTTH networks and telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Understanding of civil works and telecom site construction.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of construction quality standards and installation procedures.
  • Basic understanding of risk identification and mitigation.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites.

Requirements

Education and Required Experience

  • Internship or academic project experience in telecom or construction is an advantage.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Languages

  • English – Fluent (Required/Must)
  • French – Working proficiency (Highly desirable)
