Job Description

Hammer Guinée is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Rigger/Installer with solid experience in GSM telecom installations and maintenance. The role involves working on telecom towers, installing equipment, ensuring proper cabling, and maintaining site safety. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Huawei and Ericsson equipment and be capable of working at heights under strict safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install GSM antennas on towers.
  • Dismantle and reassemble radio cabinets and racks.
  • Carry out telecom works on towers (pylons).
  • Install aerial cabling for distribution networks.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pylons.
  • Conduct site surveys and identify proper cable routing.
  • Handle and safely use lifting equipment and power tools.
  • Implement safety measures for working at height (WAH).
  • Perform technical checks and ensure correct installation.
  • Keep the worksite clean and organized.
  • Return unused materials to the warehouse.
  • Prepare tools and equipment for the next day’s tasks.
  • Collaborate closely with the team leader to achieve project goals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a telecom rigger/installer.
  • Strong knowledge of Huawei and Ericsson telecom equipment.
  • Certified in Working at Heights (WAH) on pylons/towers.

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/plans.
  • Skilled in using electric tools and lifting equipment.
  • Strong safety awareness and discipline in following procedures.
  • Physically fit, able to work at heights and in diverse environments.
  • Good teamwork spirit, punctual, polite, and professional.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Requirements

Education and Required Experience

  • At least 1 year of GSM experience preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a rigger/installer in telecom or related fields.

Languages

  • French: Fluent (mandatory).
  • English: Practical working knowledge (mandatory).
