Job Description

Hammer Cameroon is seeking an Operations Manager to lead and coordinate field operations across Telecom Engineering (TE), Civil, Power, and Managed Services (MS) projects. The ideal candidate will ensure timely execution, quality delivery, and operational efficiency in line with customer SLAs and Hammer Group standards.

You will be responsible for planning, execution, cost optimisation, HSE compliance, and performance management across multi-site operations, ensuring customer satisfaction and smooth service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute regional workplans (daily/weekly) for installation, O&M, and acceptance activities.
  • Allocate and manage crews, tools, vehicles, and materials efficiently.
  • Drive SLA and quality compliance, ensuring “first-time-right” site acceptance and adherence to HSE policies.
  • Monitor operational costs versus purchase orders; control extra visits and optimize transport routes.
  • Track KPIs and prepare periodic performance and variance reports.
  • Coordinate with customers and suppliers on corrective actions and escalations.
  • Manage subcontractors, inventories, and field risks.
  • Coach and mentor supervisors and engineers to foster a culture of performance, accountability, and safety.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with Huawei, Helios, Orange, or Free frameworks.
  • Familiarity with site acceptance processes and project documentation requirements.

 

  • 5+ years of experience in operations management within telecom infrastructure or field services.
  • Fluency in French and English (both written and spoken).
  • Strong planning and analytical skills (Excel/Google Sheets, dashboarding, variance tracking).
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing multi-site operations with a strong HSE mindset.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with customer-facing experience.
