Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Optical Fiber Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and delivering fiber optic network deployment projects on time, within budget, and according to quality and safety standards. This role involves managing all aspects of project delivery, including technical, administrative, and operational activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop project schedules (Gantt charts, milestones, critical path).
  • Manage FTTH, FTTB, and backbone fiber optic deployment projects.
  • Coordinate technical teams (field staff, subcontractors, and vendors).
  • Manage project budgets, resources, and risks.
  • Oversee technical studies (routing, civil works, cable pulling, splicing).
  • Ensure follow-up on administrative authorizations and permits.
  • Organize progress meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
  • Ensure quality of work and compliance with HSE standards.
  • Manage change requests and report project status to management.
  • Accept completed works and ensure smooth handover to operations.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of fibre optic networks (FTTH, FTTB, OSP, ISP).
  • Proficient in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, Excel).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical plans (AutoCAD / QGIS preferred).
  • Knowledge of telecom standards and HSE regulations.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

Requirements

Education and Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Networking, Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in fiber optic or telecom project management.

Languages

  • French, Level: Fluent, Required
  • English, Level: Working knowledge, added advantage
