Job Description

NOTE: You must be 21-45 years!

Hammer Group Côte d’Ivoire, through its CAR RENTAL Project (operational since October 2024), is renewing its team of professional drivers dedicated to transporting personnel for strategic clients.

We are seeking experienced, disciplined, and versatile drivers capable of delivering safe, punctual, and high-quality transport services.

Under the direct supervision of the Project Manager, the selected candidates will be responsible for ensuring the secure and comfortable transportation of client personnel in strict compliance with operational and safety standards.

Key Dates:

  • Application Submission Period: Before March 21, 2026
  • Practical and Theoretical Tests: March 31, 2026 at 08:00 AM
  • Location: Hammer Group Côte d’Ivoire Headquarters, Port-Bouët (behind Wharf), Cité SIPIM, Sirène entrance, Abidjan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily transportation of client personnel according to assigned routes and schedules.
  • Operate various fleet vehicles, including sedans, pick-ups, 4×4 vehicles, and minibuses.
  • Drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles proficiently.
  • Ensure strict punctuality and maintain professional conduct (courtesy, discretion, discipline).
  • Perform routine preventive checks (fluid levels, tire condition, cleanliness).
  • Submit daily operational and vehicle condition reports to the Project Manager.
  • Use Android-based digital tools (GPS, WhatsApp) for trip tracking and communication.

Qualifications

  • Driver’s License: Valid BCDE categories, held for a minimum of 3 years.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of professional driving experience.
  • Education: Minimum Primary School Certificate (CEP) or equivalent.
  • Literacy: Ability to read and write French fluently.
  • Technical Skills: Proven ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles.
  • Technology Proficiency: Mandatory ability to use an Android smartphone (GPS navigation, WhatsApp communication).
  • Age Requirement: Between 21 and 45 years.
  • Residence Requirement: Must reside in one of the following areas: Koumassi, Marcory, Port-Bouët, Gonzagueville, Treichville, Yopougon, or Abobo.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong commitment to punctuality and reliability.
  • Ability to handle multiple vehicle types (light vehicles, utility vehicles, vans).
  • Excellent knowledge of Abidjan’s road network and geography.
  • Professional presentation and respect for organizational hierarchy.

Requirements

Education and Required Experience

  • Have a minimum knowledge of mechanics;
  • At least three (03) years’ professional experience in a similar position;

Languages

  • Be able to read, write and speak French fluently;
  • Knowledge of English would be an asset;
